Blogging can be a great way to make money online if you know what you’re doing!
I’m going to be straight up with you here though…
Blogging is not a way to get rich quick, and if this is what you’re looking for then you should probably just stick to buying lottery tickets.
It will take time and energy on your part to learn how to make money through blogs and it will also take lots of work on your part to build your blog or blogs up to the point you are making money.
But I am here to tell you if you are willing to learn and most importantly put in the work….
You can most certainly make money by blogging, as I have on multiple blogs I’ve created!
What Will You Need To Start Making Money By Blogging
Before you can actually make money by blogging you first need to have a few different things in place and create a road map that will help you get off on the right foot.
1. You Will Need A Blog
So obviously first things first you are going to need to get yourself a blog. There are few different options here, one being that you can start a free blog on WordPress or Blogger and next is what I recommend, a paid blog like Kalatu or MLSP Sites that has all the SEO settings and plugins that you are going to need in order to make money by blogging.

And then you are going to need a domain name that you will forward to your blog. Make sure that your domain is both congruent with your blog and easy to remember. Something like yourname.com or specificproductyourpromotingreview.com, I’m sure you get the point.
2. Pick Your Niche
Next you are going to want to pick what niche your blog is about. For example if you have a network marketing company about travel then you’re probably going to want your niche to be travel.
It is very important that you choose a niche that you are passionate about. Your niche should be something that you have no problem blogging about on a regular basis.
Also once you have picked your niche you will need to keep that blog specific to that niche. Here is the reason why, if you are blogging about travel one day, knitting the next and relationship tips the next then you will never become an authority in your niche and in turn never develop an audience.
3. Create Valuable Content
Now that you have your blog and you know what niche you are going to being blogging about the next step in knowing how to make money by blogging is creating valuable content.
This is where most people have a hard time, coming up with an endless supply of valuable content. So here are a couple tips that will help you come up with content
- Figure out what pains and problems your target market faces, now solve those problems
- Invest, Learn, Teach – Invest your time or money into learning things about your niche and then teach what you have learned in your blog posts
4. Monetize
This is very important especially if your goal is to make money by blogging. In the following section I will cover 5 ways you can make money by blogging.

Keep in mind that there are way more ways than I cover in this section but these are the most effective ways that I know how to make money by blogging.
1. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is my personal favourite way to “make money by blogging”.
If you don’t know what affiliate marketing is basically affiliate marketing is a type of marketing in which a business pays affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts.
This is a great way to start to build a blog or a number of blogs that generate an income.

2. Network Marketing or MLM
These are both great business models especially if you want to make money by blogging.
Traditionally people in Network Marketing or MLM mainly use offline methods like approaching friends and family or cold calling.
People love to work with those that they see as a leader and an authority figure and this is why the attraction marketing method using blogs is proven to be very profitable because with a well-designed, content driven blog you can gain instant authority.
3. Offering Services
This is another awesome way to monetize your blog.
You need to look at what you may have to offer. Can you do any kind of designing like websites, banner images or video intros for example? Or maybe you know how to do something that your target market may want to learn, so you could offer coaching.
What services can you offer your target market?
4. Offline Brick and Mortar Business
Most offline brick and mortar businesses wouldn’t even think of blogging in order to grow their business but this is actually a great way to make money by blogging.
What kind of products or services does your business offer?
Now start a blog that teaches people about how to use those products or maybe give product reviews on each of the products you offer.
5. Selling Products
Now what kind of products is your target market looking for, this can be virtual or physical.
Now there is a few different ways that you can do this, one way is by pointing people to affiliate offers by doing product reviews. Also if you have your own web store or eCommerce site, you could add links that go to that site again by writing product reviews and such.
